Cinnamon, Ginger, Hibiscus & Dandelion Tea — For Blood Pressure, Liver & Kidney Health
Category: Remedy
Prep time: 15 minutes
Serves: 3 days (makes 1 batch per day)
What This Is
When people talk about a "cleanse," they usually think of harsh juices or starving yourself. This isn't that.
A true organ cleanse isn't about flushing things out aggressively — it's about giving your heart, liver, kidneys, and blood vessels the nutrients they need to clean themselves. Your body already knows how to detox. It just needs the right raw materials.
This 3-day gentle cleanse uses whole foods, herbs, and warm liquids to support:
- Heart health – Better circulation, lower inflammation, healthier blood pressure
- Liver function – Your main filtration system gets a nutrient boost
- Kidney support – Gentle flushing without overworking
- Blood vessel flexibility – Reducing stiffness and plaque buildup over time
This is a supportive, food-based cleanse — not a medical treatment. If you have a diagnosed heart, liver, or kidney condition, consult your doctor before starting.

This tea is the centerpiece of the cleanse — a blend of herbs that support circulation, liver detox, and kidney function.
Ingredients (per cup)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3–4 slices fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon dried hibiscus flowers (great for blood pressure)
- ½ teaspoon dried dandelion root (liver & kidney support)
- 1 cup filtered water
- Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add cinnamon, ginger, hibiscus, and dandelion root.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Strain into a mug.
- Add honey if desired.
- Drink warm.
*Make a larger batch: 4 cups water + 4 cinnamon sticks + big handful of ginger + 4 tsp hibiscus + 2 tsp dandelion. Keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently.*
Morning Smoothie Recipe (Day 1–3)
Ingredients
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- ½ cup fresh or frozen beets (chopped small — raw is fine)
- ½ banana (for sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (for fiber and cholesterol support)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut water
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon turmeric + pinch of black pepper
Instructions
Blend everything until smooth. Drink slowly.
Why This Cleanse Works (Organ by Organ)
Heart
- Beets – Boost nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.
- Hibiscus – Multiple studies show it lowers blood pressure as effectively as some medications (in mild cases).
- Garlic – Reduces arterial stiffness and improves circulation.
Liver
- Dandelion root – Increases bile production, helping your liver flush out processed toxins.
- Leafy greens – Provide chlorophyll, which binds to heavy metals and helps remove them.
- Lemon – Vitamin C supports liver detox pathways.
Kidneys
- Water + apple cider vinegar – Gentle flushing without overworking.
- Cucumber and celery (if added to meals) – Natural diuretics that support kidney function.
Blood Vessels
- Flaxseed – Omega-3s reduce inflammation in artery walls.
- Beets – Improve endothelial function (how well blood vessels expand and contract).
What to Expect During the 3 Days
Day 1Mild headaches or fatigue possible (caffeine or sugar withdrawal). Increased urination — good sign.Day 2More energy. Less bloating. Bowel movements may increase — normal. Possible vivid dreams (liver processing).Day 3Clearer thinking. Skin may look brighter. Breathing feels easier. Circulation in hands/feet improves.
Everyone responds differently. If you feel dizzy, weak, or unwell, stop the cleanse and eat a normal meal. Listen to your body.
Who Should NOT Do This Cleanse
Do not attempt this cleanse if you:
- Have kidney disease (high potassium from beets and greens can be dangerous)
- Have low blood pressure (hibiscus and beets lower pressure further)
- Are on blood thinners (garlic, ginger, and greens affect clotting)
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have gallbladder issues (dandelion stimulates bile flow and may cause pain)
- Have a history of eating disorders (structured cleanses can be triggering)
When in doubt, ask your doctor. This cleanse is meant for generally healthy people who want to support their body — not for people with serious organ conditions.
Pro Tips for Success
- Prep ahead: Chop beets and wash greens the night before Day 1.
- Drink extra water: At least 8–10 cups per day (the tea counts).
- Rest more: Your body is working. Take short naps or go to bed early.
- No cheating: One sugary snack or drink of alcohol resets the process.
- Ease out: On Day 4, don't immediately eat a heavy meal. Start with soup, then slowly add back normal foods.
After the Cleanse (Maintenance)
You don't need to live on cleanses. Do this once per season (every 3 months) for maintenance. In between:
- Drink Heart & Organ Tea 1–2 times per week
- Eat beets or leafy greens daily
- Keep processed sugar low
- Take a 10-minute walk after meals (supports blood sugar and circulation)
Pin This For Later
Your heart beats about 100,000 times a day. Your liver filters over a gallon of blood every minute. Your kidneys clean waste from your entire blood volume 40 times a day. These organs never take a break — but they do need support.
A 3-day heart and organ cleanse isn't about punishment or perfection. It's about giving your hardest-working organs exactly what they need to keep doing their job. Try it once. Pay attention. Your body will thank you.
Bonus: 1-Day Mini Cleanse (If 3 Days Feels Like Too Much)
